Staging

Sheridan creates a boutique style shopping experience in your home.  Each room is staged in a professional manner designed to showcase your property.  We bring in tables, shelving units, clothing racks, jewelry cases, and other display items.  We go the extra step to linen our tables and use pricing stickers giving the sale that upscale look.  Your furniture remains clutter free and showroom ready. Our staging process is designed to significantly enhance sales results.

Pricing

Sheridan Estate Sales II prices almost every item in each and every sale.  We price thousands of items.  Pricing and selling that quantity of merchandise keeps us current with the market as well as prevailing trends. For those few items that require extra expertise, we have independent appraisers and specialists on call.  In cases where we find highly unique items we have a relationship with a national auction house in order to yield maximum proceeds that you can only get from a wider audience.  Sheridan also offers presales on specialty items, furniture, and items needing special moving consideration, ie pianos and pool tables, which increases the success rate of selling these items at full value.

Advertising

Our extensive advertising campaign includes internet estate sale sites, our website, our Facebook page, Instagram, Google Plus, and our private extensive customer email list.  We photograph and post the majority of items for sale.  We also maintain a customer database of specialty items our customers are interested in.  On sale days our bright red and white  directional street signs are strategically placed and draw a lot of local traffic as well.

Hosting a Well-Attended Sale

We conduct three day estate sales on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

We have a state of the art register system that, in addition to cash, accepts credit/debit cards and mobile pay for any amount. This system includes a chip reader to ensure the protection of our company, as well as our customers.  All sales are tracked electronically.

We staff each sale appropriately, ensuring excellent coverage for sales, security, and safety.  All of our employees are trained and empowered to negotiate sales.  There is no need for a customer to be frustrated waiting to see only one person for pricing, negotiating, or questions.  Our practices maximize sales while emptying out the house.

Payment

Your sale proceeds are calculated and put into a separate escrow account so they are not commingled with our operating funds.  A check, written off the escrow account, is mailed directly to you within one week of the sale.

Safety and Security

Sheridan Estate Sales takes extra precautions to ensure the safety and security of your home, posessions,  our employees, and our customers.  We carry a $2 million liability insurance policy.  Our employees are covered under our own Workman’s Compensation Insurance.  We have a chip reader, the safest way to validate credit cards and a bill scanner that ensures authenticity of cash payments.  We do not release the sale address until the day before the sale.    We use caution tape and signs to circumvent any hazards and prevent accidents in the house.  The moving of all large purchases is done under direct supervision of a staff member to ensure it is done safely, protecting your most valuable asset, the house itself.  We have SECURITY CAMERAS on site which capture every person entering and exiting your home.

Donations and Clean Out

Sheridan conducts three day sales which are designed to maximize the sale of your personal property.  At the end of the sales event, should you still have the need for this service, we have a few options for you.  We work with independent professional clean out services as well as charities.
